Romantic Bird Watching
This tour includes lodging all meals and transfers.
Day 1----- Managua
Day 2------Montibelli , registration in the visitors center, and a natural history tour on the first trail “El Mirador”.
Day 3------6 a.m. Snack (café, cookies). Bird watching first trail (2 - 3 hours).
Day 4-------Bird watching 2nd trail (3 hours).
Day 4-------Transfer to Natural Reserva Chocoyero-El Brujo
Day 4-------Return to Montibelli.
Day 5-------Managua
We offer a package composed of 2 nights and 3 days for you to enjoy
nature and heighten your skills and abilities of bird watching in a
tropical dry forest and also to contribute to the social and economical
sustainability of the community.
The activities are guided tours about birds and natural history of the
Reserve. You are given a check list and binoculars for you to enhance
and refresh you memory of the birds identified. On the first night you
will be given a formal presentation of the birds of Montibelli”
(photos y sounds).
Includes a day in the wonderful Natural Reserve Chocoyero-El Brujo,
with a previous session of familiarization with the birds and sounds
of Montibelli. Also a close encounter with the producers of the vast
pineapple fields.
This transfer will be made in caponeras or " mototaxis”,
observing the flora and fauna and pineapple fields as far as the eye
can reach. Also see the fields of pomma gram, coffee, and plantain and
be alert if a pig chicken or another sort of animal crosses your path.
Here in the Natural Reserve Chocoyero-El Brujo you will then walk and
test your new skills and be alert of howler monkeys and eventually as
an award be prized with a small water fall where thousands of green
parakeets nest on a humongous rocky wall as dusk comes down.
At night you will return to Montibelli and be serenaded by local musicians.
